Youngstead “Home from Home” is a small boarding kennel. Although we do have staff for cleaning and kennel maintenance,
we feed and take care of all dogs and cats personally.

Most of our clients board their dogs with us on a regular basis and we get to know their dogs well, making their stay with us less
stressful and disruptive. All dogs are exercised daily and maintain regular human contact.

We also do Basic Obedience Training.

Is your dog running out the gate, jumping on everybody, not listening to your commands? WE CAN HELP!!

Youngstead Home from Home provides boarding for all breeds of dogs and cats. Our kennels each have an indoor and outdoor section and dogs can choose if they wish to be inside or outside. Exercise gardens are available for all dogs and for cats.

Vaccination cards must be produced for all pets. Vaccinations should be done at least 14 days before boarding.
Preventative applications for ticks and fleas should be done before dropping off your pets. If not we will apply at an added fee.

Indoor or outdoor cat kennels are available depending on your preference.

Kennels are cleaned every morning and thereafter throughout the day as required.

Youngstead Home from Home provides boarding for short periods from 1 day and more. We also provide LONG TERM
boarding at greatly reduced rates.

Advance booking absolutely essential for April and December.

Has your pet been injured or recovering from an operation? We can care for wounds, apply dressings and care for injured pets.

We feed Bobtail dog food in the kennels and Catmor to the cats. Pet owners are welcome to provide their preferred food
which we will feed as instructed. Fridge and freezer facilities are available.

We do have all required bedding, but pet owners are welcome to bring their own blankets , bedding and toys  for their pets.
We are not responsible for damage to any property of pet owners. Dogs chew and cats claw!

We do not require food or water bowls.

All dogs spend time everyday in the secure comfortable exercise gardens. The amount of time depends on how many dogs are
in the kennels.

Cats also spend time in the cat garden.

All dogs are bathed before they are collected where possible.

The following rules apply:

KENNELS NOT CANCELLED 7 DAYS BEFORE RESERVED BOARDING DATE ARE LIABLE FOR FULL BOARDING FEE

No pets are accepted without a completed Reservation Form and payment.

Day of arrival is paid for.

Day of departure on weekdays is not paid for if pets are collected between 8 am and  10 am.

Day of departure on Saturdays and Sundays is paid for.

The full period booked must be paid for. If the pet arrives late or leaves early we do not deduct those days from the total cost.
The kennels are booked for pets for the full period as requested on the booking form.

Extra days at the beginning or end of the booked period will be charged at the same daily rate.

Basic medication is not charged for. This includes giving tablets, applying skin creams, ear drops or eye drops. All other medication
will be charged for. If pets require medical attention in our sole opinion, we will transport them to a Veterinary hospital.
All accounts in this regard will be for the pet owner.

All outstanding boarding fees are due and payable before or on the day that pets are dropped off.

Deposits paid are not refundable. Extra charges are due when pets are collected.

Make sure all vaccinations, deworming and parasite protection is up to date at least 14 days before boarding.

Dogs must arrive wearing a secure collar or chain with a lead. Loose pets are not allowed.

Cats should be transported in a suitable cat travel container.

Pack all bedding, food, medication, vaccination certificates before loading your pet.

Exercise your pet before loading to allow them to relieve themselves.

Minimise delivery separation anxiety by leaving your children at home.
